LATE AFTERNOON

Saying Thank You

Saying thank you - thoughts for late afternoon

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the
Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting
shadows. James 1:17

Thank you, Lord, thank you
Thank you for all the gifts you have given me today.
Thank you for all I have seen, heard, received.

Thank you for the food that sustained me.
Thank you for the roof that shelters me, for the lamp that lights me,
for the TV that entertains, for the news, for music and singing.

Thank you for the time you have given me.
Thank you for life.
Thank you for grace.

Thank you for being there, Lord.

(based on the prayer “Thank you” by
Abbé Michel Quoist. Prayers of Life 1963)
PRAYER

O God, my Father, I thank You again for all that
The Lord Jesus has done for me by His life,
His death on the cross, and His resurrection.
Help me to show my gratitude by living as
He taught us to live, to the glory of Your Holy Name.
Amen.
