EVENING

Rest quietly as evening comes and for a few moments let your soul
recline in the beauty of the music. As you do, focus on anything
you have had to be thankful for this day.

EVENING PRAYER

O Lord God Almighty, who has lit the day with the sun’s light and
brightened the night with the shining stars; enlighten our souls for ever
with the healing beams of the Sun of righteousness who is risen upon us;
and so preserve us at all >mes in the doing of your will that, at the last,
we may shine as the stars for ever and ever; through Jesus Christ our
Lord, Amen

Be present, O merciful God, and protect us through the silent hours of
this night, so that we who are wearied by the changes and chances of this
flee>ng world may repose upon your eternal changelessness’ through
Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Into your hands, O Lord, we commend ourselves and all whom we love,
praying that you will keep us under the shadow of your wings. Drive far
from us every evil thing; give your angels charge over us guard us in life
and in death, that whether we wake or sleep we may live together with
you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

O God, with whom there is no darkness at all, but the night shines as the
day; keep and defend us and all your children, in soul and body, this
coming night. Make us to rest in the peace of a good conscience, in the
hope of a better life, in the faith of your providence, and in the comfort of
your love; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
